Spheres (Spherical Pipeline Pigs)
Spheres are one of the simplest pipeline pigs. They can be solid or inflatable, manufactured from polyurethane or even foam. They are relatively easy to handle and can be batch-loaded in specialised launchers. They are not very effective in recovery as they skip over obstructions easily. They are intended for dewatering and light cleaning duty.
